Mid-Term Exam Information:
1. HOMEWORK due on Monday, 1/14 (B period) or Tuesday, 1/15 (C period):
Read, underline, and label Sample Response to CAPT Question 3. This sample is two paragraphs long.

2. Complete the pre-writing for your response to CAPT Question 3. Directions on the document below. Click on the W.


3. Both # 1 and # 2 above are IMPORTANT practice for the exam story and responses to Questions 1 and 3, which is 50% of your exam grade.

4. Actively read "Farewell to Violet." I will use the same grading rubric as I did for active reading of "The Circuit." If you scroll down a bit, you will find that rubric.

5. "Farewell to Violet:" Come to the mid-term exam with the story read and your pre-writing completed. Then during the exam, you will write your responses to Questions 1 and 3 and complete the multiple-choice questions on short stories, vocabulary, and appositives.
